About
Welcome to Little Sprouts Lactation! My name is Corina Fizzard BSc., IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I began my journey into lactation consulting after my own breastfeeding difficulties. I leaned heavily on the support of competent and compassionate IBCLC's while I journeyed through postpartum life and was fortunate enough to be able to learn so much more from them when I decided to embark on this most fulfilling career.
I know that having the support of someone who can help build your confidence and navigate challenges can make all the difference in helping to reach your goals. I am particularly passionate about supporting families with prenatal feeding education as well as working with families who are navigating life with an infant through grief and/or a loss experience.
It is a privilege to work with families during such a beautiful and vulnerable time in their lives and I look forward to helping empower parents on their path.
In my spare time I am enjoying the chaos that is life with my two toddlers, husband and dog.
Initial Consultation
$160
Assessments take place in the comfort of your home. Here you can expect:
A comprehensive evaluation of your pregnancy, health history and birth
Infant oral assessment and infant weight check
Observation of a feed and breast assessment
Individualized feeding plan with additional resources as needed
Referral to other practitioners as needed
One week of phone/email support at no additional cost
Allow 1.5-2 hours
Prenatal Lactation Support
$100
Learning the foundations of infant feeding before your little one arrives can help you feel more confident and prepared while managing potential challenges proactively. Here you can expect:
A comprehensive assessment of your pregnancy and health history
Breast assessment
A collaborative plan based on your goals that address your concerns
Resources provided
Allow 1.5 hours
Follow up Consultation
$100
In the event that additional in-person support needs to be provided after the initial assessment and week of phone/email communication, a follow up consultation may be booked. Here we reweigh baby and work together to review progress and make adjustments, as needed, to your care plan. This meeting typically occurs between week 1 and week 3.
Virtual Consultations
$100
Virtual consultations are best suited to prenatal education sessions and follow ups that do not require weight checks or oral and breast assessments. If you are wondering if your concern could be addressed via a virtual appointment, just reach out!
Compassionate Prenatal Consultation
$50 virtual
I believe every person should be able to get the best start on their infant feeding journey and access high quality lactation support, regardless of ones financial situation. For this reason, I offer a reduced rate for online prenatal feeding education for those who may find the full fee challenging. No proof of income is required. If the full price of an in-person or virtual prenatal consultation presents a barrier, please choose "Compassionate Prenatal Consultation" when booking
